Harris Cherin, M.D. 76, of Melbourne, FL passed away Wednesday June 14, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Miami Beach. He graduated from the University of Miami School of Medicine, Class of 1966. He served in the US Army as a Major in the Medical Corps and from 1973 to 1975 he taught Radiology at USF in Tampa as Director of Special Procedures. He moved to Melbourne in 1975 as Diagnostic Staff Radiologist at HRMC, specializing in Interventional Radiology. He served as Chairman of the Department of Radiology and President of his P.A. He also enjoyed traveling nationally and internationally.Survivors include his wife off 33 years Debbie, daughters Lisa (Noel) Pasco, Fawn Leavy, Michelle Cherin, Sheila Cherin (Anjo Anza), son Adam (Seana) Cherin, grandchildren Brittany and Garrett, mother-in-law Dot Brett and sister-in-law Pam (Michael) Williams and twelve nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be 4pm-6pm on Tuesday June 20th in the Brownlie - Maxwell Funeral Home.
