Anne Frances Mayer (90), born September 18, 1926 to Nicola and Francesca (Impaglia) Caporilli, in Pleasantville, NJ, passed away June 21, 2017 in her Melbourne Beach home surrounded by her family. After relocating to Brevard in the late 1950's, she was a member of the founding families who pioneered the inception of both Ascension and Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Churches. She served as the first President when the Holy Name of Jesus Women's Guild was established in the early 1960's. Her contributions are too many to list and continued throughout her life, up until her most recent involvement at Immaculate Conception Church. Her favorite hobbies were knitting, sewing, Mah Jongg, crossword puzzles, reading and gardening. She was renowned for her Italian cooking and her home was always open to everyone. Her greatest joy in life was being with her family. Anne is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Carlo Mayer; children: Cynthia Mayer (Larry), Carlo (Lisa) Mayer, Frances (James) Cox, Anne Mayer (Paul); grandchildren: Renato Bass; Lane and Matthew Mayer; Jayme, Kasey, Carla and Aerin Cox; Nicholas Friskel and Madison Mayer. She was also very loved by many nieces, nephews and great friends. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am, Monday, June 26th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 3780 S. Highway A1A, Melbourne Beach. Following the mass, she will be laid to rest at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge.
