Bernard J. Seman, 87, of Palm Bay, passed away on Tuesday, July August 29, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving wife and family.

He was born July 30, 1930, in Exeter, Pennsylvania to the late John George Seman and Mary Magdalene (Pribula) Seman.

Bernie was a graduate of St. Cecelia's grade school in Exeter, PA. He was a graduate of St. John's High School in Pittston, PA.

He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War in Germany until the armistice was signed. Upon his return from service, he worked as a customer service agent for Eastern Airlines for thirty-one years, retiring in 1988. During retirement, Bernie worked part time for Jim Rathmann Chevrolet and Rosner Chevrolet as a shuttle driver for ten years.

Bernie has been an active member of St. Joseph's Parish in Palm Bay for many years, serving as an Eucharistic Minister. Bernie loved the fellowship and participated in many of the events and functions. He particularly enjoyed building the booths during festivals.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph B., Steven M., Thomas J. , John R. and Richard J. Seman; sisters, Anna Mae M. Wagner, Marie and Theresa Seman; and son, Bernie Seman Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Geraldine (Iles) Seman; Son, Phillip John, of Clyde, NC; Daughter, Jacqueline Greer of Palm Bay, Fl, Daughter-in-law, Linda Sorensen, Palm Bay; Sister, Regina Romani, of West Wyoming, PA; 7 grandchildren; Brittany Sorensen, Ashlee Greer, Jessica Greer, Jacob Seman, Stacy Greer, Dylan Seman, Jeffrey Sorensen, and Hannah Seman; and five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Calling hours will be from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph?s Miller Street Church, 1425 Miller Street NE Palm Bay, Florida., with a Catholic Mass following at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Miller Street Cemetery, Palm Bay.
