Departed December 14, 2023 in Melbourne, Florida

Deborah (Debbie) Francisco Hatch passed away on December 14, 2023 at the age of 70. She was born on November 1, 1953 to Arnold Francisco and Betty Evans Francisco in Charleston, West Virginia. After moving to Melbourne, she graduated from Melbourne High School and Brevard Community College.

On May 6, 1972 she married her soulmate and was the beloved wife of Mark Hatch for 51 years. Together they ran Croton Nursery for 25 years, after which she worked for Dr. James Cobb and then in the accounting and missions departments at Calvary Chapel Melbourne.

In 2020, Debbie was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease and was cared for at home by her devoted husband, Mark, until her passing. She was predeceased by her parents, Arnold and Betty Francisco, her parents-in-law Monroe and Elizabeth Hatch and her brother-in-law Robert Hatch.

Debbie is survived by her husband Mark; her brothers Darren and Derrick Francisco of Melbourne, and her “adopted family” Rachel and Dante Vivar and their sons Sean, Timmy, Benjy and Levi of Lima, Peru.

Above all, Debbie believed in, trusted and loved Jesus Christ. She was a faithful student of God’s Word, served her Savior faithfully in many capacities and loved to talk with and teach people about the Gospel. Debbie was known for her cheerful disposition, quick mind and ready smile, along with her positive and compassionate attitude.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Debbie’s memory may be given to Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation, 4676 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne, Florida 32935.

Please read these promises from God –
1. Jeremiah 29: 11-13
2. Psalm 63: 5-8
3. Revelation 7: 15-17
If you are reading this today and do not know Jesus Christ as your personal savior, Debbie invites you to make the best decision of your life.

Recognize that you are a sinner, for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God
Know that Jesus Christ went to the cross for you and me. He paid the price for our sins
Repent and change direction in your life. Be led by Jesus. He will direct your ways so that times of refreshing and peace may come from His presence.
Now receive Jesus Christ as your Savior. Jesus is out rock and our salvation. Trust in Him for He is our refuge in times of trial. He has promised us the gift of Heaven, and has a beautiful, wonderful place prepared for us to be with Him in Eternity.

This is what Debbie lived for. Jesus is what gave meaning to her existence. The Lord used her to bear much fruit and is continuing to use Debbie this very minute. Please consider this invitation and come to Jesus right now. Thank you for allowing Debbie to tell one more person about her Lord Jesus Christ.

Love and prayers,
Mark and Debbie

Karen Renzi from Melbourne, FL wrote on January 24, 2024:
I met Debbie (and her brothers) in an Alzheimer's Support Group in 1995 when we both were dealing with our Dads and this awful disease. That support group helped us to be strong for each other and our families. We also completed the annual Alzheimer's Walk in honor of our Dads. Most importantly we both put them in Our Lord's hands and had His Love to guide us through this terrible journey. I know in my heart that she was smiling when she met Arnold and Betty. My deepest sympathy goes out to Mark and her brothers - remember that Debbie will want you to be strong during the days ahead. Love, Karen Kerr Renzi

We are so saddened to learn of Debbie's passing. She was part of our family for the 23 years that she worked in Jim's office. Our hearts are broken but we know Debbie was welcomed into Heaven with the words, " Well done, good and faithful servant."
