Beverly A. Ransom
Beverly A. Ransom, 88, of Melbourne, FL, formerly of Wiltsie Rd. in Frewsburg, NY
passed away peacefully on the morning of March 31st at the Life Care Center of Melbourne
She had been living there with her husband, Paul, who preceded her in death this past December.
In 1991, Beverly and Paul moved from Frewsburg to Rockledge, FL where they lived for over 30 years
at Americana Resorts. They later moved to The Fountains of Melbourne before illness required their
move to Life Care.
After a long career at Weber-Knapp in Jamestown, Beverly continued working once settled in
Florida at L3Harris until her retirement at age 70.
Born on November 11, 1936, in Jamestown, NY, Beverly was the daughter of
Margaret (Eckman) and Ernest Billquist. She was preceded in death by her sister
Barbara (Billquist) Parker.
Beverly met Paul on a blind date in Jamestown and they were married on his birthday, April 8, 1955, in Hurlbut Memorial Church at the Chautauqua Institute’
This year would have marked their 70th wedding anniversary. It brings comfort to
know she chose to reunite with him to celebrate together in Heaven.
Beverly was a devoted daughter, a cherished friend, and above all, a loving
mother. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting the needs of others
before her own. Her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength touched the lives of
all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children: Cynthia of Paso Robles, CA; Jeffrey and his wife
Marie of Rochester, NY; and Jason and his wife Rebecca of West Melbourne, FL.
She is also survived by four grandchildren — McKenzie (Nick) Colon of Rochester,
NY; Chaz Darrow of San Francisco, CA; and Riley and Reese Ransom of West
Melbourne, FL — as well as two great – granddaughters, RaeLynn and Tegan Colon.
A joint Celebration of Life for both Beverly and Paul will be held at 2 p.m. on April
25, 2025, at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne, Florida.
