Debra Lynn “Debi” French, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully with family by her side on June 20, 2026, in Palm Bay, Florida. She was 68 years old.

Born on November 30, 1957, in Jacksonville Beach, Florida, Debi grew up with a deep love for her family and faith. She carried these values throughout her life, creating a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Debi is survived by her devoted husband, James (Don) French; her loving daughter, Amie Hurlbert, and son-in-law, Jeff Hurlbert; her son, Allen Woodard; and her cherished granddaughters, Ava Hurlbert, Harlequin Kinkaid, and Chloe Woodard. She is also survived by her brother, Robert (Bob) Stoddart; her nephews, Cory Stoddart and Jason Wilhelm; her sisters-in-law, Barb Gambrel, Patty Wheatley, Darlene Wood, and Sharon Wright; and her brothers-in-law, Bobby French and Tony French. Debi was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Thornberry; Stepfather Robert Stoddart, her sister, Kimberly (Kim) George; and her sister-in-law, Debra Croslin.

Family was the cornerstone of Debi’s life. She adored spending time with her loved ones and found immense joy in being surrounded by them during gatherings and holidays. Her home was often filled with the warmth of family traditions and the delicious aromas of her fabulous cooking—a gift she shared generously with those she held dear.

A woman of unwavering faith, Debi loved the Lord with all her heart and modeled her family life accordingly. Her empathy for others and her ability to make everyone feel special were hallmarks of her character. She had the biggest heart and an enduring smile that brought comfort to those around her.

Debi’s grandchildren were the light of her life, as was her nephew Cory. She poured endless love into their lives, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and devotion will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

Until we meet again and see your smile once more, we lean on our faith to guide us through this loss, knowing that your Heavenly Father is now taking care of you.

May Debi’s memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.

Visitation and Vigil: Thursday July 2nd at 5-6pm at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, Melbourne,FL

Funeral Service: Friday July 3rd at 9:00am Wesley Church, West Melbourne, FL

Burial Service: Friday July 3rd at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, Mims, FL-Guests need to arrive by 11:45am Lane A.
