Robert Felix Acosta

Born on April 5 1970 in Pasadena, Texas
Passed on July 7, 2026 in Palm Bay, Florida

Robert Felix Acosta was born in Pasadena, Texas to his beloved parents, Robert Joseph Acosta and Anna Marie Broussard Cook on April 5, 1970. Moving with his parents in 1972 to the Melbourne area, he resided in West Melbourne, Florida during his formative years, then to Orlando, Florida and returning to West Melbourne shortly before his death on July 7, 2026.

During his school years, he made many life-long friends that existed to the day of his passing. He was very active in sports as a participant and a fan. He actively participated in football, baseball, and his two favorites, surfing and golfing.

He attended Melbourne High School graduating in 1988 and continued his education attending Brevard Community College and Valencia Junior College as well as traveling abroad.

His worked in construction after high school, but turned his attention to the food business and eventually the Equipment Rental business. He was a Manager/Owner for the former and Salesman for the latter. His work life covered over 43 years.

Robert never married but he had a special place in his heart for his two nephews and a niece, always providing gifts on holidays and some unwanted guidance. His family knows he would have made a wonderful parent as exemplified by his passion for helping other people, particularly those with needs.

He was an avid traveler, touring several European countries, multiple trips to Cuba, Cartagena Colombia (particularly the old town), and many surfing trips to Nicaragua, El Salvador, Panama, and Costa Rica. This broaden his world view, helped with his education, and molded him into the person he was.

A Catholic Mass of Remembrance is to be held on Friday July 10, 2026 at 04:30 pm at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in downtown Melbourne, Florida and a Celebration of Life to be held at One Oak Event Venue, 1800 W Hibiscus Blvd on Saturday July 11, 2026 from 2 to 6 pm. The family welcomes attendance at either or both services.

Robert will be missed by his many friends and colleagues but because he lived his life to the fullest, the people he came in contact with will carry on his memory and his exuberance.
