Cynthie “Cyndi” Marie Elder
Cynthie “Cyndi” Marie Elder, born Cynthie Marie Coggshall on November 23, 1967, in Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, July 10, 2026.
Cyndi’s greatest love story began in high school when she met the love of her life and soulmate, James “Jamie” Elder. Their bond was built on unwavering love, friendship, laughter, and adventure. Together they shared a treasured son, Cory, and over forty wonderful years together and would have celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on November 1, 2026. Their favorite adventures included Sunday rides in their dune buggy, exploring new places, and brewery hopping wherever their travels took them. Whether it was to a cabin in North Carolina or a drive with no destination in mind, they simply loved being together.
To know Cyndi was to love her. She never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel welcome. She was often the life of the party and loved bringing people together, often entertaining family and friends in her home.
Above all else, Cyndi cherished her family. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, a treasured daughter, a beloved sister, and a loyal friend. Her generous heart, unwavering love, and vibrant spirit touched countless lives. She had the ability to make people feel seen, valued, and loved, leaving behind memories that will be treasured forever.
Cyndi is survived by her loving husband, James “Jamie” Elder; granddaughter, Kamila Masiel Valencia-Elder; mother and stepfather, Pamela and Dr. Thomas Harrell; grandmother, Marion Williams; sister, Renae Matteson; brothers-in-law, Buddy Elder and Daryl (Chrissy) Elder; sister-in-law, Nona Elder; uncles, Gary (Diane) Coggshall and Glenn (Coe) Williams; cousins, Keith Coggshall, Justin (Jackie) Williams, and Jeff Williams; Cory’s fiancée, Kassandra Valencia; her very best friend, Casey Anderson; and many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

All those who loved Cyndi find comfort in all of the pictures she took, every story shared, every spontaneous adventure, and every party she inspired. Her love and laughter will live in the hearts of those she leaves behind, and her beautiful spirit will never be forgotten.
Cyndi will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
