Julie Ann Sanders-Hays, age 53, formerly of Glasgow, KY, passed away at her home in Palm Bay, FL from ALS, with her long-time partner, Matthew Hays Sr., the “love of her life” by her side on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Sanders, and her sister, Karen Denise Sanders Lindsey. She is survived by her mother, Genetta Sanders, her brother Eddie Sanders, and her two sons, Chris Palmer (Martina) and Nick Sanders, along with other family and friends. Heartfelt thanks go out to Julie’s close friend, Dawn Kerr, who traveled from KY to help Matt care for Julie in her final months. Per Julie’s wishes, she was cremated and there will be no visitation or funeral services. Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne, FL is in charge of arrangements.
