Daniel T. “Dano” Nolan

Born on March 8, 1960 in San Jose, California
Passed away October 2, 2026 in Melbourne, Florida

Daniel T. Nolan, affectionately known as “Dano,” 66, a lifelong resident of Melbourne, passed away peacefully at his home on October 2, 2026.
Born on March 8, 1960, Dano was born into the Nolan Clan and was the sixth of eight brothers and sisters. He was a proud, hardworking man who spent more than 30 years as a concrete mason. He also owned and operated a lawn care business for many years, always taking pride in his work and in doing things his own way.
Dano was a true outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping, enjoying the freedom and adventure that came with being outdoors. His oldest sister described him perfectly as “rough and rugged with a big heart.” Beneath his tough exterior was a caring heart and a love for the people and things that mattered most to him.
He also loved the game of golf, playing for many years and continuing to get out on the course as much as his body would allow in his later years. Dano enjoyed playing pool as well and was a proud member of the local pub teams at Peck’s Lounge and Jabbos, where he and his teammates won several titles together.
One of Dano’s greatest passions was NASCAR. He was a huge NASCAR fan and an avid collector of NASCAR memorabilia. His favorite driver was Mark Martin, #6, and his collection included photographs and signatures from many of the drivers who helped build NASCAR in its early years. His love of the sport was more than just being a fan—it was something he carried with him throughout his life.
Dano was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Irene Nolan; his brothers, Mike Nolan, Tommy Nolan, and PJ Nolan; and his sister, Belinda Puller.
He leaves behind his beloved pup, Bugsy, who was a cherished companion; his former wife, Cathy Roebuck; and his sisters, Mary Selig, Terri Clendenin, and Debbie Nolan.
He is also survived by his nieces, Kellianne Nolan, Samara Tabata, Ashley Dixon, and Tamara Wilson; nephews, Patrick Nolan Jr., Michael Nolan, Bobby Selig, and Rick Clendenin Jr.; great-nephews, Spencer Nolan, Parker Nolan, Michael Nolan Jr, Tristan Myers, and Robert Selig Jr.; and great-nieces Kristeena Nolan and Carly Jaye Wilson.
Dano will be remembered as a rough-and-rugged outdoorsman, a hardworking man, a golfer, a pool player, a devoted NASCAR fan, and, most of all, as a man with a big heart who lived life on his own terms.
Though he is no longer with us, his stories, his laughter, his passions, and the memories he created with those who loved him will live on.
Rest easy, Dano. May the fish always be biting, the greens always be open, and the #6 always be running up front. You will be deeply missed.
