Born August 23, 1935 in Washington Heights, New York
Departed February 14, 2024 in Melbourne Beach, Florida
HE CROSSED THE FINSH LINE…TO THE CHEERS OF HEAVEN. He ran the race that he might receive the victors crown. I believe he received that crown. In past and future history, many have and will receive such a crown. How can that be? Isn’t this a competition and only one receives such a crown? I don’t think so. He ran the race God had laid out for him to run. This journey of faith and
obedience had him invest a large portion of his life in the people of France. That journey required a tenacious, uncompromising commitment to be faithful. He trusted in the power of God’s Word and Spirit as he shared the Good News.
This message called “The Gospel” is incredible. You see, God didn’t come to make bad people good. Religion attempts to do that. No, God didn’t come to make bad people good, but dead people alive. Born and empowered by God. For the believer, the motivation for living differently, is not that we should, but rather that we can. If you desire to have a conversation about this message, feel free to contact us.
Not lost in this, is the story of his faithful wife and partner in ministry of 61 years. She fulfilled the vow she made to God and my dad. We hurt for her…unsure how to meet her needs in this time of deep loss. Mom, his children; Rachel-Claire, Dave, Estelle, André and Jim and Julie were all present and by his side as he crossed the finish line. We will continue our own journeys of faith, modeling and leaving a heritage to our immediate families, friends and communities. Twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren will miss their grandfather and godly example.
Mom will continue to live in an beautiful apartment provided by Jim and Julie in their home at: 204 Dogwood Avenue, Melbourne Beach, Florida 32951.
We want to thank so many of you who have faithfully stood by our parents throughout their life and ministry. Your friendship, support and encouragement has meant so much. If you’d like to write a card or leave a message on this website about a special memory you shared with them, encouragement you gained as you did this journey together, please send it to the address above. I
know mom would love to read those.
You prayed for us and God bountifully answered your prayers. We continue to covet your prayers over the next few days as we adjust to this new normal. Pray for the ability to care for others in our own brokenness.
In lieu of flowers you may donate to one of the following, all very close to Jim’s heart :

Dearest Dee, Julie & Jim Turi and Percy Family,
Jim was and remains a treasure. A tireless servant of our King the Lord Jesus. He lived "But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you".Phil.2:17. Jim didn't hesitate to be "poured out" for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I dare say at risk of his own health and safery Jim never missed an opportunity to share Christ. There are very few soldiers in Christ like him this day. Dee and Jim served Jesus with everything they had. The opened their hearts and home to the lost, the hurting, the fearful, the hopeless ones who needed the only Truth that matters and a safe place to find a meal and rest. Jim will be Greatly missed not only by his wonderful family but those of us with the great blessing to have known him. Our prayers are with you his dear family as you navigate this huge change in your lives. Love you all greatly. 💕

Dear Aunt Dee,
I want you to know that I love you so very much and have my whole life. I also want you to know that I loved Uncle Jim so much too! I pray fairly often and I believe God hears me and that grew out of my many conversations with you and Uncle Jim. I probably did not say it enough, but I always loved getting letters, updates, and birthday cards from both of you. It always meant a lot to me. I told Julie, whenever I picture Uncle Jim, he is laughing or smiling. Always. I hope you remember him that way too.
I am so pleased you are living with Julie, Jim, and Joey and their lovely pets. I am also happy it is a place your other children can come and visit you.
Love Always,
Beth

A wonderful man, father-in-law and an example of tenacious and contagious love for our Lord. He loved the Lord and wanted all to understand and know the gospel. His smile lit up the room! His legacy will live on in our Percy family! ❤️
