Born on June 1, 1956 in New York City, New YorkPassed on October 24th, 2025 in West Melbourne, Florida
Peter Andrea Guidone of West Melbourne, Florida, left us on October 24, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in New York City on June 1, 1956, to Enrico Joseph and Dorothy Lee Guidone.
Peter graduated from Satellite High 1974 and attended Florida Atlantic University on a full scholarship, graduating in 1978 with a math degree. He began his career at Harris, and later moved to Texas and worked for Singer Link, where he developed simulators, including the shuttle simulator, which allowed him to meet many astronauts. He then lived in Australia for a year – training with helicopter simulators. Returning to the states he went to work for Boeing and continued to contribute to the space program, programing for the Space Station. A dream come true for someone with a deep appreciation for the wonders of space. Unfortunately after the last shuttle shot Peter and many others received layoff notices so he decided to retire early and travel.
Peter pursued his passion for travel and outdoor activities, with a goal of visiting every national park in the USA. He enjoyed camping, hiking, and canoeing, and had a special love for collecting stamps, coins, mugs, and Legos. Peter also dedicated time to volunteering, tutoring students, and participating in the Big Brothers program.
Peter cherished his family with his all his heart and always returned to Melbourne at Christmas and summers. He is survived by his siblings Carol Brown, Diane Buck and Henry Guidone.
Peter was a warm hearted soul who touched the lives of everyone he met. Our hearts are broken but we have peace knowing he no longer suffers and is with our Lord.
We will gather to honor Peter’s legacy and share our cherished memories Wednesday, October 29 at 2:00 PM. at the grave site, at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. 1422 Miller Street, Palm Bay FL 32905
In-lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to VITAS or the Cancer Society.
