Kathryn Frances Keogh Yoder

Born September 5, 1930 in St. Paul, Minnesota
Departed March 27, 2024 in Palm Bay, Florida

Kathryn Frances Keogh Yoder, our beloved wife, mother, grandma, mom-mom, and aunt was carried away by the angles to her new home on March 17, 2024, St. Patrick’s Day, one of her favorite holidays. She was 93.

Kathryn loved being with family and friends and all family get togethers, babysitting nieces and nephews, and later her grandchildren. She left her career as a secretary with Pan American Airlines with the birth of her first child. She spoke fondly of her trip around Europe with her life long friend Shar, but to her, family always came first.

During retirement, Kathryn picked up quilting. She made 183 quilts during her lifetime, baby quilts, wall hangings, and table runners in the beginning. Later she tackled single, full and queen size quilts. Each quilt was a work of art, told a story, and was made with love. She shared them with friends and family. She enjoyed her quilting ladies groups who met and made quilts for 9 different charities: Ronald McDonald House, Palms West Hosp. Children with Cancer, Rett Syndrome, Foster Children of S. Carolina, Katrina Relief Victims, Disabled Veterans, St. Vincent de Paul, Homeless Coalition, and church fund raisers.

Kathryn is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joseph, their four children, Carolyn (Henry), William, Capt. Steven USN retired (Annie), and Robert; seven grandchildren, Josh, Ayla, Collette (Ian), Bridgette, Allyson (Jake), Lily and Katie; and two great-grandchildren, Georgette and Kendall.

She is pre-deceased by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Keogh, and her five siblings, Dorothy, Lorraine, Joseph, Robert, and Eileen.

Her Funeral Mass will be held on May 9, 2024 @ 11:00am at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N. Hwy A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903. A rosary precedes the Mass at 10:30 am

A lunch and display of her quilts will be at Pelican Beach Clubhouse, 1495 SR A1A, Satellite Beach, FL following Mass

Burial of her ashes will take place Friday, May 10 @ 11:00am, Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Hwy 1, Mims, FL 32754
