Mallory Davis Foster passed away on December 14, 2018. She was born on April 18, 1923, on the Naval Mine Depot (Naval Weapons Station) in Yorktown, Virginia to John Robert and Virginia Nimmo Davis. She attended Matthew Whaley High School in Williamsburg and Longwood College in Farmville, Virginia. She was married on May 28, 1942, to Capt. Edward L. Foster who predeceased her after 62 years of marriage. Mrs. Foster moved to Indialantic in 1968 and was for years a member of the South Brevard Debutante Committee, serving as its president twice, and a member and President of St. Margaret’s Guild at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. She is survived by her 3 children Edward L. Foster, Jr. (Patricia) of Gainesville, the Honorable Robert M. Foster (Sharon) of Jacksonville and Nancy Wythe Foster of Mechanicsville, Va.; 6 grandchildren, Anne Blair Foster of New York City, Melissa Ann Williams (Marvin) of Gainesville, Megan Leigh Arel (Jeremy) of Ft. Mill, S.C., Robert Mallory Foster, Jr. of Jacksonville, Anne Foster LaVasseur (Marc) of Astoria, N.Y., and Edward L. Foster III (Sarah) of Jacksonville; 7 great grandchildren, John Edward Williams, Ashleigh Davis Williams, Kaitlyn Ann Williams, Atlas Alexander Arel, Zoe Anne Arel, Kai Arthur Arel and Catherine Kennedy Foster. She was predeceased by her 3 sisters and 2 brothers.
A private funeral service will be conducted at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
