Millard F. Smith

Born on October 7, 1937 in Jasper, Florida.
Passed February 23, 2025 in Melbourne, Florida

He was born October 7th 1937 to Pauline and Lloyd Smith and was the oldest of seven children.
He was the father of two daughters, Dana Smith and Marcy Irwin (Marvin) and a grandfather to Marshall and Mitchell.
He joined the Army and returned to Apopka after serving his four years. He started work at the Harris corporation in his late twenties and retired with them and went on to do other sales jobs.
He married Barbara Berg in June of 1985 and they owned the Sea Room restaurant for a brief time before they moved to Tallahassee in 1990. While Barb attended Law school at the Florida State University, Millard was the manager at the Capitol Cafeteria and did catering on the side. He also worked at a cabinet/woodworking shop which, was one of his hobbies.
He and Barb moved back to Apopka in 1993 after she graduated from Law school. This is where he met a lot of great friends once he joined the Shriners of Apopka. He was always involved in his community wherever he went.
He was a great father, grandfather, brother, husband, in-law, son, uncle and friend and will be missed by many.
