Born on January 23, 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky
Departed on June 6, 2025, in Melbourne, Florida

Jeffrey Martin Head, 63, of Melbourne, FL passed away Friday, June 6, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Head and stepfather, Glenn Farnsley and grandparents, Harold and June Arnold. He is survived by his wife of 37 years,Susan, his daughter, Lindsey, his son, Christopher (Danielle), his mother, Donna Farnsley, his brothers, Rick (Melissa), Greg (Vicki), and Tim, nephews Josh, Adam and William, nieces, Katie and Brianna.

Born in Louisville, KY, the son of an Air Force Lt. Colonel, Jeff and his family were stationed at many bases throughout the U.S. and abroad including Germany and the Philippines. Through all the moving he and his brothers developed a very deep bond that would remain unbroken. While stationed in Texas, Jeff became a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys. While stationed at Patrick Air Force base, Jeff attended Satellite High School where he was a star baseball player and loved to surf. The family finally settled back in Kentucky, closer to their Grandparents and close relatives.
He then went on to attend Western Kentucky University where he earned his Associates degree and met his future bride.

Upon graduating, Jeff and Susan moved to Melbourne, FL to be closer to his brothers and started his painting contracting business. Soon after they started their own family. Jeff’s daughter and son were the apple of his eye. He was so proud of the woman and man they have become and would often brag on them both. He was the best father anyone could hope for, attending countless ballgames and cheerleading competitions over the years and was always the kids’ biggest supporter and life coach.

Though miles apart, Jeff remained closely connected with his family and lifelong friends. An avid hunter, he cherished the time spent with his brothers and close friends at “the shack” in KY hunting deer and wild turkey or shrimping and fishing off the Melbourne bridge or betting the horse races or a good round of golf. He never met a stranger and was a good friend to all that were fortunate to know him and would not hesitate to help a friend in need.

Jeff enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, a good cup of coffee in the morning, a drink with friends at the end of a hard day’s work, the tails wagging from his beloved dogs when he pulled in the drive, a juicy steak and maybe some blue crab to eat, hugs and kisses from his children and a sweet kiss goodnight. Jeff’s fun-loving spirit, his kind and generous way will long be remembered. He is a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle and friend; the light of our lives and will be missed more than words can ever express.

A public viewing will be held at 1:00 pm, followed by a service for family and friends at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at the Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home Chapel, 1010 Palmetto Ave., Melbourne, FL 32901

You will be missed by many. You might be gone but you will never be forgotten. Prayers to your family. I know you will be looking over your family and friends. Michelle and Eddie.
