It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Jo Ann Chirico Boerensen, who passed away on October 22, 2026, at the age of 80, after complications from surgery.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Jo Ann eventually made her way to Florida, where she spent more than 20 years living in Palm Bay before relocating to the St. Petersburg area.
Jo Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted companion to her beloved dog, Milo.
She leaves behind her two children, Kim (Mark) Sanders and Todd (Daniel DiRusso), along with her cherished grandchildren, Robby and Katie Sanders, who will forever carry her love and memories in their hearts.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George, who passed away in 2004. For 22 years, they have been apart, but we find comfort in knowing that George has been patiently waiting for her in Heaven.
And now, after all these years, George finally has his dancing partner back.
We can only imagine the beautiful reunion as he takes her hand, holds her close, and they dance together once again.
Though our hearts are saddened by her passing, we celebrate a life filled with love, family, and memories that will never fade.
Rest peacefully, Jo Ann. Your dance with George can finally begin again.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Together again.
A memorial service will be held at the Brownlie & Maxwell Funeral Home at a later date
