I was not close with Joe; but he left an impression that only like minded people could appreciate. Spreadsheets, Economics, and Systems; if I wanted to have a thought provoking conversation it was going to happen with Joe. Until this day anytime I hear the word Bitcoin, someone talks about money and Bitcoin I remember I heard it first from Joe in either 2008 / 2009. It's the reason I took the extra second to Google him; someone said Bitcoin. He was extremely intelligent and passionate about his work. I've always wondered what happened to him. I am glad to know he pursued and finished his degree. Rest in Peace. To his family; I'm sorry to hear .
