In Loving Memory of Claudette L. Mastromarino

Claudette L. Mastromarino, 85, passed peacefully on October 11, 2026, in Palm Bay, Florida, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on October 18, 1940, in Vermont, Claudette was the beloved daughter of Eugene and Sarah Ruel. Her family later settled in southern New Hampshire, where she grew up alongside her brother Roger and sisters, Pauline, Yolande and Ginette. It was there that she built a life filled with cherished memories, raising her children, Michael, Karen and Stephen, while creating lasting bonds with family and friends. Her nearly 86 years were rich with love, laughter, and meaningful connections.

Claudette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Throughout her life, she embraced many roles, both professionally and personally. She worked in a doctor’s office, at a golf course, and as a real estate agent, bringing warmth and dedication to everything she did. Later in life, she met and married the love of her life, Joseph Mastromarino. Though they found each other later in their journeys, together they created a beautiful blended family and shared countless joys as proud grandparents and great-grandparents.

Together, Claudette and Joe embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude. Whether golfing, traveling the world, gathering with friends, or spending precious time with family, they made the most of every day. Claudette was truly the definition of a social butterfly. She treasured her friendships and remained connected to loved ones near and far. Famous among family and friends for her carefully organized stack of birthday cards, she never missed an opportunity to make someone feel remembered and special.

She also held a special place in her heart for her classmates from Pinkerton Academy, faithfully attending reunions and nurturing friendships that spanned decades. Her home was always open, and her table was always full. Holidays at Claudette’s house were occasions marked by laughter, warmth, good food, and the unmistakable feeling of being welcomed and loved.

Claudette’s bright spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered for her kindness, optimism, cheerful laugh, and unwavering devotion to others. Even as her health declined, her thoughts remained centered on those she loved most. She spoke often of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and lovingly called for her late husband.

Though a bright light has dimmed here on earth, her love, generosity, and joyful spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. We find comfort in knowing she has found peace and is reunited once again with those who went before her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Claudette’s life at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home on October 24, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served afterward at her home. The burial will take place at a later date at Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry, New Hampshire.
