Coby Williams
Coby Williams passed away peacefully in his sleep November 8th, 2022. His legend will live on eternally through the hearts and memories of his survivors: his beloved wife of 25 years Lydia Williams, daughters Savannah and Jenna, father Coddy, stepmother Beth Glover, sister Tami Boggs (Keith), and aunt Candy Butler (Jack). He was a great friend to so many, and a loving father, son, and brother.
Coby never met a stranger or missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. Raised in Melbourne Beach, Florida, he grew up an avid surfer and had a love for all things “ocean.” Later in life, following in his father’s footsteps, fishing became his passion and eventually his profession.
He traveled the world surfing and fishing and always had amazing stories to tell. Perhaps one of his favorites was when he met the love of his life, Lydia, at a chance meeting on a surf trip to Abaco, Bahamas. The rest was history.
Coby’s second passion was food. He was a naturally gifted chef who loved making elaborate meals to share with family and friends. His key piece of advice was given to him by his mother-in-law, Iona Ingraham, and that was “ya’ measure with your eye.” And most of his culinary creations had a special “goodie” to make them perfect.
Born June 5, 1974, Coby left us way too soon at the age of 48. Your banter and quick wit will be missed as much as your love for life. Smooth seas, Coby.
