Departed April 7, 2022 in Palm Bay, Florida

Janice Louise (Lewis) Cary, 88, of Satellite Beach, Florida, formerly of Thurmont, Maryland, was called home by God on April 7 after a long illness. She was born the 11th of 12 children to Edgar and Glenna Lewis in 1933. She married Harold David Cary of North Amherst, Massachusetts in 1953, who preceded her in death in 1987. Surviving Janice are her 5 children; David Douglas Cary of Satellite Beach, Florida; Debra Diane LaGrave of Hagerstown, Maryland; Robin Louise Vitez of Satellite Beach; Michael Harold Cary of Columbia, Missouri; and William Alan Cary of Jupiter, Florida, as well as 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

Janice cherished all her family and enjoyed fond memories of camping, sailing and summer family reunions when her children were young. In her later years she enjoyed riding her bicycle, car rides along the shoreline of the Indian River near Satellite Beach, as well as spending time with her beloved dog Katie.

The family will hold a private graveside service at the Blue Ridge cemetery in Thurmont.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be given to the Health First Foundation to support the William Childs Hospice House in Palm Bay, Florida.
