Charles J. “Chuck” Jordan, 77, of Melbourne Beach, FL, died on October 4th, held and surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Brooklyn, New York in 1949, the first child of Charles and Theresa Jordan, Chuck moved with his family to Commack, Long Island in 1960, where he would go on to meet lifelong friends, many of whom remain close to this day. He attended Commack High School and graduated in 1967 before joining the United States Army the following year, serving proudly for three years, earning multiple medals and expert marksman status, and serving as a medic until an honorable discharge in 1971.
Chuck married the love of his life Noreen in 1974 and soon started a family before moving to Melbourne Beach, Florida in 1986, quickly finding a new group of cherished friends and wonderful neighbors who became family themselves.
Preceded in death by his father Charles; mother Theresa; and sons Charles and Michael, Chuck is survived by his wife Noreen; son Jonathan (Caren); grandsons Owen and Arron; brother Gary (Donna); sister Joanne (Peter); nephews Joseph (Brooke), Peter, and Christopher (Kristina); nieces Kristy (Ryan) and Lauren; and great nieces Mila, Reagan, and Layla.
Calling hours will be Monday, October 12th, from 5-8 pm, at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home a Mass of Christian Burial will be held the following morning at 11 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery on Wednesday, October 14th at 12:30 pm.
