Marilyn and Patty were my cousins growing up, but they were also my spirit sisters. They took in a shy cousin who had no idea how to act with other people her age, and treated me just like they treated each other, with love, respect, joy, teasing, playfully letting me know it was ok to be "not perfect" and to run in the woods and find wonderous critters living there or growing there and in the gardens. Marilyn was always the practical one of the three of us, but also had a great way of just making little things fun. She never stopped being a cheer leader. I am so grateful she was in my life. Long distance hugs to all of you who knew and loved Marilyn.

Marilyn Dooley was an intelligent, competent woman who, as a virtual single mother, built a successful business while raising an amazing son (who later became my son-in-law). I am fortunate that I got to know her, and was able to interact with her at family gatherings. She will be sorely missed. My sympathies to Rob and Kim.

Rob, Kim, Izzy, Emma and Patty, Greg and I are so sorry for your loss. You all know how I felt about Marilyn, she was my best friend for 27 years. Our relationship began when she and Rob moved next door to us. We had good times camping, weekly dinners with our neighbors in our cul-de-sac, I'd sleepover at her house and we'd shop on QVC half the night and so much more. Greg was always fixing things at her house and when we all went someplace together, she always joked that he had two wives. I m very blessed that I got to spend some of her last days with her. Greg and I both will miss her, but she is now with our Lord and Savior and not in pain anymore.

Marilyn Dooley was an intelligent and dynamic woman. As a single mother she raised an amazing young man, Robert Dooley, who I am pleased to call my son-in-law. She also built a successful business, a goal many women found it difficult to do in that era ( being one of them). I am fortunate I had the opportunity to get to know her and have several interesting discussions at family gatherings. She will be sorely missed by all her family and friends. My sympathies to her son Rob and daughter-in-law Kimberly Dooley.

We will miss Marilyn’s spunk and humor while visiting our office, as well as the excitement she exhibited when showing us her beautiful quilts! Heaven rejoices as another angel returns home!
