Patricia Ann Gunter (Nee McNamee) died peacefully in her home on July 5th, 2025.
Patricia was born March 9, 1933, in Yonkers NY, moving at the age of 13 to Miami FL. After high school, she worked as an operator at the telephone company where she met her husband, Edgar Gunter. They married January 8th, 1955, in Miami. Subsequently moving to Melbourne FL in 1964.
Patricia has been an active member at Ascension Catholic Church for 61 years. She taught Sunday School, served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and worked in the church office before retiring.
She is survived by her seven children, Wade Gunter of Nevada, Mark (Lisa) Gunter, Anita (Robert) Kidwell, Elaine (Randy) Miranda, Martha Cywinski, Barbara Gunter, Louis (Tracy) Gunter all of Melbourne FL. She is also survived by six grandchildren Justin (Rowena) Gunter and Nathan Gunter both of Nevada. Slate Gunter, Scout Gunter, James Cywinski and Drew Cywinski all of Melbourne FL, two great grandchildren, Paityn Taylor-Gunter and Nathan Gunter Jr, both of Nevada. She is survived by her brother-in-law Joseph Riva, two nieces, Valerie Riva and Karen Franks all of South Florida.
She is preceded in death by Edgar Gunter, her parents William and Olive Melvin McNamee, her sister Marilyn Riva and a grandson Clinton Gunter.
A funeral mass is to be held at Ascension Catholic Church on Saturday August 2, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
