Joseph Mathew Warnick

Joseph Mathew Warnick, 93, was born on May 10, 1933, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and grew up in nearby Kingston. From a young age, he displayed remarkable musical talent and became an accomplished trumpet player. Although music was a lifelong passion, he chose to pursue a career in engineering.
Joe earned an Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering from Wilkes College on a music scholarship. He then graduated from Penn State University in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and went on to obtain his Professional Engineering license.
Following graduation, Joe began his engineering career with Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company in Akron, Ohio. In February 1956, he married Mary, his college sweetheart and lifelong partner. In 1958, he joined RCA, working in Morristown and Camden, New Jersey. RCA transferred Joe and his family to Massachusetts in 1961. He later continued his distinguished career with the United States Air Force at Hanscom Air Force Base, where he worked until his retirement in 1993.
After retiring, Joe and Mary relocated to Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, where he spent the remainder of his life.
During his long and fruitful life, Joe contributed to the community in many ways. He shared his love of music by playing his trumpet in various symphonies and bands throughout the years. He loved entertaining family and friends, participating in many social activities. Joe also loved building furniture and cabinetry, and had the ability to fix just about anything. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his accomplished engineering career, his love of music, and his keen sense of humor. He was beloved by his family and will be deeply missed.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Mathew and Victoria (Kalinoski) Warnick, and by his two sisters, Ruth Ezzie and Victoria Kazimi. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; his children, Matthew (Deborah), M. Timothy (Yvette Courtemanche), and Patience (Gilbert Pilz); five granddaughters; three great grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.
