Rae Miles was born Marian Rae Bundrick on January 25, 1938 in Columbia, SC to Lucille Horne Bundrick and Thomas Raymond Bundrick. After retirement and well into her 80s, Rae continued in her lifelong commitment to Christian service, volunteering at the Ridgecrest Conference Center in Black Mountain, NC and the Haggai Institute Mid-Pacific Center in Kihei, Maui, HI and Space Coast Seafarer’s Ministry (now Port Canaveral Ministry) in Cape Canaveral, FL. She and Gene traveled extensively, living full-time in their motorhome and doing service work with Campers on Mission. She also regularly sang with the Florida Worship Choir.

Brokenhearted by Rae's absence here, condolences to her Tommy and Eric who are her life's greatest gifts! Love and prayers to all the family who she loved with her whole being. Grateful for the fact that our paths crossed more than an about a decade ago when she took me under her wing. No person can be adequately described in words. I shall truly miss the quintessential things of her being that I enjoyed immensely ... A joy filled heart, a curious mind, twinkling mischievous eyes, razor sharp wit, grounded wisdom, faith for a lifetime, a child's love of life, an exceptional writer and storyteller, determinedly hardworking, an angel's voice, a giving heart, and steady supplies of warm hugs! Rae was so many things but most favorite were the roles of wife, mother, grandma, cat mom, student, singer, helper: teacher, counselor, and missionary. I will do my best to follow your example-Boldly to live life with love and faith, knowing it's all graced and gifted!

Miss you my love! The word "friends" doesn't do our relationship justice. We were sympatico.

Mrs. Miles will always have a place of fondness in my heart. I have a lot of great memories of hanging out at the condo with Eric, and her cooking our favorite Totino’s pizzas!
