Auburn “Mike” Milam

Born on April 29, 1940, in Roxboro, North Carolina
Passed Away October 10, 2026, in Melbourne, Florida

Auburn “Mike” Milam, 86, passed away October 10, 2026, in the comfort of his home in Tropical Haven in Melbourne, with his daughter there with him. A native of Roxboro, North Carolina, Mike moved to Florida in 1972 from Alexandria in Northern Virginia.
He drove a cement mixer for Virginia Concrete, starting when he was 18 years old. Once in Florida, he drove a cement mixer for Tarmac and helped build many houses and commercial buildings in Brevard County during decades of heavy growth. He had a keen sense of direction and knew pretty much every road in Brevard County. He enjoyed driving right up to his passing.
A proud member of the Teamsters Union, Mike had a long retirement that he spent fishing at Lake Washington and socializing with his friends and neighbors at Tropical Haven. He mowed grass for many of his neighbors over the years and made many dear friends at the trailer park. He loved watching NASCAR races, playing lottery scratch-off tickets, and talking on the phone to his family and friends all over the country. He will be remembered as a “character” who never met a stranger.
The youngest of three sons, Mike loved his family and has now joined his parents, Clarence and Amanda, and brothers, Chic and Jerry, in heaven. He is survived by his daughter Cindi Lane (Mark), grandchildren TJ Brownfield (Hailey) and Jill Flores (Cesar), great-granddaughter Emilia Flores, foster son Eddie Blum II, stepbrother Larry Moyer (Jan), former wife Judy Henderson (George), dear friends Ket Carazo and David Parker, and many cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews. A special thanks to the Health First Integrated Care Program for their excellent care over the years.
Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A graveside service will be held later at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Melbourne.
