Margaret “June” Smith

Born June 1, 1929 in Center Hill, Florida
Departed April 12, 2024 in Melbourne, Florida

Margaret June Smith was born June 1, 1929 in Center Hill, Florida to Byron B. Sellers and Ruby B Sellers. She was preceded in death by her son Randall Fuller, her late husband Hoke Smith, parents and siblings, Edgar Sellers, Betty Poynter, and Laura Hayes.

June grew up in Eustis, Florida and was a graduate of Eustis High School class of 1947. She loved her hometown roots and recently enjoyed attending her 75th High School Reunion. June married C. Scott Fuller in 1950. After the birth of their first daughter Brenda, Scott’s career with RCA took them across the US. Their first destination would relocate them to Oregon where their first son Scott was born. Soon to follow was Randy, who was born in Ohio. Within a few months RCA transferred them to New Mexico where daughter Lee was born. Shortly thereafter the family returned to June’s beloved Florida where the family settled in Satellite Beach. To complete the family Nancy was born soon after they returned to Satellite Beach. While there, the family owned and operated the Skyline Golf Course. When not covering the golf course, you could typically find June with young Nancy in tow, fishing along the shoreline of Satellite Beach, a pastime she loved thanks to her father and Grandfather. June also had a passion for shopping, decorating and many various hobbies. She later worked as a hair stylist and cosmetology instructor.

In 1988 she married Hoke Smith. They had a wonderful retirement life together traveling the US in their RV and spending time in their beautiful cabin on Disk’s Creek in the North Carolina Smokey Mountains. Following his passing, June enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as her many nieces and nephews and their children throughout central Florida.

June is survived by her 4 children, Brenda Robbins (Allen), Scott Fuller, Lee Rocque (Dan), Nancy Armeson (Frank), 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her.
