Anita Hanks, a loving, generous mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2024. In heaven, she will be welcomed with open arms by our family who have gone before, especially by the love of her life Jack. Anita’s family takes comfort in knowing that the two are reunited after 67 years of marriage.
Anita was a member of the Daughters of the Nile, Miami Springs Women’s Club, Hialeah Moose Lodge, Eastern Star and Grace Lutheran Church in Miami Springs, Florida. She attended Advent Lutheran Church in Viera, Florida. She was a graduate of Miami High Class of 1948.
Anita leaves behind to cherish her memory her four children Scott, Diane Bennett, Lori Stanley and John as well as her 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Along with her family, she leaves behind 2 special friends, Emma McKinnon and Joye Eiker.
A celebration of Anita’s life will be held at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11:00 am. A private interment at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery will take place at a later date.
