In Loving Memory of Deidre Joan Bo
October 13, 1954 – December 9, 2025
With love and remembrance, we invite family and friends to honor the life of Deidre Joan Bo, a devoted mother, partner, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Deidre lived a life marked by strength, compassion, and curiosity. A graduate of the University of Central Florida, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in 1992, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her heart for service led her to volunteer with Hospice of the Valley, offering comfort and care to others during their most vulnerable moments.
Deidre loved exploring the world around her—camping, hiking, riding her bike, traveling, and visiting national parks. She found joy in day trips, music festivals, and time spent at her favorite timeshare. A devoted animal lover, she opened her home to many foster cats over the years, caring for each with tenderness and love.
Family was always at the center of Deidre’s life. She is survived by her children, Heather Cortese-Cugno, Lisa Cortese, and Steven Cortese; her loving partner of 22 years, Devin Dahn; her seven grandchildren; and her cherished great-grandchild.
A memorial service to honor Deidre’s life and to lay her ashes to rest with her parents will be held:
Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM (EST)
Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home
1010 Palmetto Avenue
Melbourne, FL 32901
This service is open to the public.
Deidre’s legacy of love, resilience, and kindness will live on through the many lives she touched and the family she treasured so deeply.
