Elizabeth (Betty) Ann (Zahn) DelBalzo was born in New York, New York (the Borough of Queens) on December 4, 1927 to Walter and Helen Zahn. She entered eternal rest on October 3, 2021.

She is survived by three children Linda Gerke Roeske, Jill DelBalzo, and Nancy Haidet, five grandchildren Jessica (DelBalzo) Hall, Leigh Gerke, Nolen Gerke, Andrew Haidet, and Stephen Haidet and five great grandchildren Rylie, Ronin, Meriweather, Hannah, and Blake. She is predeceased by the love of her life and husband of 60+ years, Albert; her son Dale and her brother Walter Zahn.

Betty loved traveling, music and dancing. She was friendly and out going and liked doing for others. Spending time with family and friends gave her much joy.

Visitation will be at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, Florida on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Further visitation will be at Ascension Catholic Church on Friday, October 15, 2021 from noon until her Funeral Mass at 1 pm. Burial will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, Florida.

I am thinking of the DelBalzo family and praying for all. Mrs. DelBalzo was a great woman and fun to be around. I will never forget her and the way she influenced so many young peoples lives. Band practice at her home was so much fun because of her. May God bless her entire family.

I am so sorry to have learned of Mrs. DelBalzo's passing. I will always remember her kindness, guidance, and leadership qualities. She influenced my life's path in many ways.
