Emmette Gordon Fleming

Born on February 18, 1940 in Covington Co., Alabama
Departed on August 11, 2020 in Melbourne, Florida

Emmette Gordon Fleming was known as Gordon aka Flash Gordon. He was born on February 18, 1940 in Covington County, Alabama. He is survived by his wife of 57 1/2 years Patricia, son Scott and daughter Tammy, along with several grandchildren and great grand children.

He followed Nascar, MLB, NFL and college football. His number one team was always Alabama although his grandkids are FSU fans and would gift him apparel to wear for their team. During his retirement years he finally had the time to enjoy watching the races and games all day long.

When not watching sports or movies he could always be found listening to the old country classic music channel on the TV.

He loved passing along stories from his youth and jokes he had learned along the way from his years in construction. He worked during the space years at Cape Canaveral and helped build the VAB and several launch pads. He also helped in building Disney World in Orlando. He retired in 2004 after working on the restoration of the pier at Sebastian Inlet.

He loved spending time with his family.

Godspeed Gordan. I'll miss you. Our condolences to Pat and the family. He was a great man, husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. Gordan was a tough guy who got the job done with no complaints. I will always remember him as the king of tools. Love. Nate and Emily.
