He especially enjoyed traveling to his home state of Minnesota in the summer for fishing. Over his desk in his home is a poem which is a fitting closing to his long life of 86 years.

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day,
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humbly pray,
when in the Lords great landing net

While we were never really on the same jobs at the same time at Radiation/Harris, you and I have crossed paths in some strange places and you have always been helpful and in control. The country owes you and so do I. You and Jo have been good friends to Dempsey and I. Rest in peace.

George, Jo and my dad are together again. It may be the end of an era here, but I’m sure the old Asmara gang have picked up where they left off. I was honored to know George who was a friend of the family for longer than all my 50 years on this good earth. He was family to us. His legacy will live on in the love and wonderful memories he left behind.
