Jamie Rosemary Smith Saxon passed away in Melbourne, Fl on March 21st, 2025. She was born June 8 1950 in Moultrie GA to James Alton Smith, Jr and Myrtice Ella V Jones. She attended BYU and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Writing at Clarkson University. She married Joseph Dwain Saxon on August 1st, 1972 . They have 4 children. She is survived by her husband Dwain and 3 of her children David (Jennifer) Saxon, Sarah (Brin) Kline, and John Saxon. Jamie’s oldest daughter, Naomi Saxon, passed away earlier in 2025. She has 4 grandchildren, Ethan, Jonas, Josilyn and Woods.

Jamie was a selfless mother to her children and their friends. She was an avid reader and seamstress and was part of many book clubs and known for the many personalized baptism gifts she made for children in her church for over 10 years. Jamie was witty, caring and talented. She enjoyed laughter and games and spending time with her friends and family. She loved sewing and made many, many pieces of clothing and costumes for family and friends. She spent the majority of her life caring for her disabled daughter but still managed to be a fully involved and supportive grandmother to her 4 grandchildren. She leaves behind a grieving family who will never stop missing her.

Services will be held on March 27th at 4pm.
