Neva Marlene Coulter
On February 8, 2026, Marlene Coulter, beloved aunt passed away. She was eighty-five. Born June 14, 1940 to Herbert and Ruby Coulter in Sullivan, Illinois she grew up on a one-hundred acre farm in a small three-room house. She moved with her family to Palm Bay, Florida in 1956 where she lived the rest of her life.
She attended high school at Lee College in 1959 and subsequently gained employment at Harris Corporation in Palm Bay. She worked with Harris until her retirement. Following retirement, she continued to stay busy by cleaning businesses and engaging in other temporary forms of employment.
After buying her house in 1976, she opened it up first to family, then friends, and then strangers. Having never had children, she poured out her love on her niece and nephews. She took them on trips, picked them up from school, taught some of them to drive even before they were of age, and showered them with gifts when they were young.
She was a member of Melbourne Church of God (now Cornerstone).
She is survived by her nephews, Darold, Geno (Judy), Victor (Cheryl), David, and Dale (Esther); and her niece Dana. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gene and Boyd; sister, Eva; nephew, Duane; and niece by marriage, Sherry.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee or Shriners Children’s Hospital Florida.
