Dear Nancy and Family, Bobby and I are cousins and we used to also have large family get togethers in our younger years. So sorry to hear that he has left you and prayers that God gives you peace as you mourn your loss of husband and father and grandfather. He is hugging his Mom and grandmother and so many of his family right now I know every time I would see his Mom Dorothy Jean she would talk about how proud she was of him and everything he was able to accomplish. Love to you all Sally & Larry Rood

I was so sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. He was extremely welcoming, generous and kind to us. We only got to visit once, more than 10 years ago, but I still remember our visit very fondly, much due to Bob’s hospitality. He treated us like family, introduced us to his family, told stories and made us feel welcome. He even gave us one of the coins from the Apollo mission, even though it was the first time we met him. I Think this showed how generous and welcoming Bob was. I still have the coin as one of my most priced posessions to this day. It saddens me that I never got to meet Bob again. My thoughts and condolonces go out to the family and friends he left behind. May he rest in peace.

I knew Bob for many years as I worked at the airport. I think the greatest testament to what a good man he was is his children . Dereck and Jake worked with me for years and are both good men, hardworking and honest. And when ever I saw any of the girls they were so nice and kind. Bob always had that twinkle in his eye . It was a lucky day when Bob met Nancy, he said that himself. Rest in peace .

I am very sorry for the loss of Bob. May he now rest in peace. I met Bob only one time, during the summer of 2011. My family and I visited Nancy (my late grandmother’s sister) and Bob, and also had the chance to meet the larger family, celebrating 4th of July, and more. We felt very welcome and a great time together. My fondest memory of Bob was when he gave me and my brother a silver coin he had received for his heroic efforts as a helicopter pilot (I think it was the Challenger disaster). I still have that coin, which for me was, and is still, a symbol of his generosity, kindness and bravery. A special hug goes out to Nancy - I am really looking forward to seeing you again soon. Love and condolences from Birger ❤️
