Dennis Albert Decelles

Born September 30,1951 in Providence, Rhode Island
Departed February 10, 2024 in Palm Bay, Florida

Dennis Albert Decelles passed away peacefully on Saturday February 10, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He brightened every room he entered with his friendly, joking nature.

Dennis was born on September 30, 1951 in Providence Rhode Island to Charles and Anita Decelles. He grew up in Cranston RI where he was your typical, red blooded American boy. He graduated from LaSalle High School in 1969 and Rhode Island College with a degree in Mathematics. He became a junior high school math teacher for the Warwick School department retiring in 2005. He moved to Florida in early 2006 because it had always been a dream of his to live in the perpetual summer.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 51 years Patricia Decelles, Sister Denise, Daughter Kristen Decelles Martin, Son Bryan Decelles, grandchildren Ann-Marie Decelles-Fox, William Decelles, Andrew Decelles, and great-grandchildren Isabella Decelles, Rose Decelles, and Maureen Decelles.

Dennis was a lover of all things Boston sports, and don’t forget his PC Friars. He was so happy when his beloved Red Sox finally broke the curse of the bambino in 2004. He celebrated with anyone who would let him. However, nothing matched the love he had for his kids, grand kids, and great-grand kids. They were the apple of his eye the moment they all opened theirs.

A memorial in his honor will be held on Saturday February 17, 2024 from 2pm to 3pm at Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral home at 1010 Palmetto Avenue, Melbourne, FL, 32901. All who would like to attend are welcome.

Dennis was my neighbor since 2006. He lived right across the street from me. I remember the many talks at the mailbox. He was always talking about his family. He was a good friend, and I am going to miss him dearly. Prayers to the family and God Bless.
