Joshua Blake Moseley

Born in Annapolis, Maryland on August 17, 1989
Departed in Melbourne Beach, Florida, on May 17, 2019

Joshua Blake Moseley, a long-time resident of Melbourne Beach, FL died on May 17, 2019.
Josh was born the youngest of three children to Edward B and Kathleen J Moseley in Annapolis, MD. on August 17, 1989. He was preceded in death by his young paternal cousin Evan, and all his loving grandparents. He is survived by his Mom Kass, his Dad Ed (Helen), his loving brother Mitch (Tanya), his loving sisters Kate (Zach) and Emily, as well as his adoring son Levi, his nieces Marilyn and Izabelle, his nephew Asher, and loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family on both sides.
Josh received his A.S. Degree from BCC (EFC) and worked in the HVAC field as an AC technician for a small, 30-year old locally owned firm where he enjoyed his work.
Josh enjoyed many things in life, chief among them skateboarding and surfing from a young age, fishing, boating, golfing, photography, and spending time with his family and friends. Self-taught, he was especially recognized for his amazing photography of the rocket launches from the Cape. But his true passion was the ocean, and when he was younger, hardly a day passed when he wasn’t in or at the ocean. His second passion was fishing. Nearly every picture of him in recent history includes “the catch of day”, or him with his son. His real passion was his family. He cherished being a dad to his young son Levi. Beyond his immediate family, Josh had two main loves in his life, his son Levi, and his long time, childhood girlfriend, Shay. His biggest goal was to have a loving family of his own.
Josh will be missed beyond description by his surviving family. We’re not at all sure yet how to carry on without him in our lives. He has left a tremendous hole in our hearts that will never be filled. We wish him God’s speed, may He keep him and cherish him always. Our final wish is for him to be reunited with all his friends and loving family that preceded him. May they too keep and hold him forever. We’ll see you soon Joshman!!!
Josh is in the hands of our family friend Greg, and the courteous and capable folks at Brownlie Maxwell in Melbourne. We’re planning a small, family-only service with our long-time friend and spiritual advisor, Pastor Dave at the Chapel By The Sea, to be followed by a public celebration of life on the beach at Floridana for a Paddle Out.

Sat at his bench and watched a rocket launch, looking back to see who the bench belonged to, it was serendipitous to see he enjoyed watching the launches.
