Eddie Wheeler

Born March 10, 1967 in Melbourne, Florida
Departed April 4, 2024 in Palm Bay, Florida

Eddie was born on March 10, 1967 in Melbourne, Florida to James Wheeler and Susan Richcreek. He spent his childhood cruising the streets of Eau Gallie, a true Florida native. He attended Eau Gallie High School. His first official career path was a stucco man where he earned the nickname ‘Fast Eddie’. He also met his bride Heather and knew just as quickly that she was the one. They tied the knot on May 7, 1994. Together, Eddie and Heather welcomed two sons Cj and Rob, promoting Samantha to big sister. For many years Eddie worked tirelessly to provide for his family. Samantha remembers sitting by the window to wait for her daddy to return home. Even after a long workday his family was always greeted with a smile.

After experiencing a heart attack Eddie was forced to try his hand at other trades. He moved his family to Georgia and began wood working. He built unique and timeless pieces. While in Georgia, he celebrated the high school graduation of his two sons. Soon after, he felt the draw to return to Florida to move closer to his two grandchildren, Kiera and Gage.

With this move, Eddie began a new career as a machinist at Keltec. At Keltec, working alongside his son CJ and son-in-law Nick, he enjoyed his newest challenge. Not one to stay idle, Eddie learned different machines and parts and looked forward to gaining new experiences. He was promoted for his hard work and dedication.

During his down time Eddie enjoyed being with his family. On the weekends you would usually find him exploring new places and festivals but only after eating breakfast at a diner. Together he and his bride explored many different waterfalls and hiking trails. His favorite place to visit the Wildlife Refuge. Known to his grandchildren as papa, he was often at sporting events and skate parks cheering them on. He was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren.

Eddie passed away on April 4,2024 in Palm Bay, Florida. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.

To my best friend, my soul mate, I love you. Until we meet again…
