Lloyd Alfonco Hoo

Born on March 9, 1928 in Kingston, Jamaica
Departed in Palm Bay, Florida on December 31, 2019

Lloyd Alfonco Hoo was born to Henry Hoo and Etta Cowan in 1928 in Kingston, Jamaica. In 1969 the family migrated to Brooklyn, New York seeking a better economic situation and enhancement for their children.
He and Daphne lived in the same town growing up and knew each other in their teenage years. They were married at a very young age in September, 1949. Their seventy plus year marriage has weathered many storms, but their love for each other is a testimony to their family that love endures! They had eleven children, presently only six children living, twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-seven great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren.
His’s love and commitment to family knew no bounds. There was no limit to what he would do for you if you were considered one of his own. He was a caring and loving father, who provided for his family regardless of the economic times or conditions that existed. The family will always treasure the ever-present smile that would light up his face upon our approach to him.
Lloyd would say, family first, love and care for each other. Keep in touch with each other. But most of all be happy and live your lives to the fullest!

I will always remember the things you told me and taught me, grandfadda. I know you are with me in spirit if not in the flesh. I love you grandfadda and wish you a peaceful journey.
