Passed on March 18, 2026 in Palm Bay, Florida

Marvel Livingston Ward, 98, of Melbourne, FL, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Palm Bay Hospital in Palm Bay, FL.
Marvel was born to Sigvald and Alice Ericksen on March 18, 1928. She grew up in Duluth, MN, and graduated from Duluth Central High School. She married William (Bill) Livingston on February 26, 1949. Marvel and Bill resided in Duluth, where they raised their children before moving to Melbourne, FL, in 1985. She and Bill enjoyed traveling, curling, and golfing.
After the passing of her first husband, Bill, she married Leonard (Len) Ward on April 27, 1996. Together, they made many wonderful memories, including countless rounds of golf, several cruises, and many vacations, including a trip to the Holy Land of Israel. Marvel was a devout Christian with deeply committed faith and prayed multiple times daily for her friends and family.
Marvel was a proud resident of the Lakes of Melbourne for many years. She was a meticulous hostess and the conduit for many social gatherings. She was a true “marvel” to everyone who knew her. She was most often found on her front porch engaging with anyone who passed by, and she never missed happy hour with friends. Those who knew her best knew she was an avid believer in the benefits of vinegar and witch hazel and could list countless purposes for which they could be used. She was an expert at using coupons and loved to find a deal. She continued golfing regularly until the age of 90. Above all, she was a proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her second husband, Leonard Ward; her first husband, William Livingston; her son, Gregg Livingston; and her son-in-law, Charles Berglund.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Berglund, of Duluth, MN; her son, Rick (Janet) Livingston, of Oviedo, FL; her grandchildren, Gregg Berglund of Duluth, MN, Rick (Jackie) Berglund of Fargo, ND, Stephen (Taylor) Livingston of Oviedo, FL, and Taylor (Cierra) Livingston of Oviedo, FL; and great-grandchildren, Taylee, Tyler, Mikayla, Audrey, Natalie, Kennedy, Adelyn, Ryder, Everleigh and Bodhi.
The family would like to thank the staff at Glenbrooke Senior Living in Palm Bay, FL, for their care of Marvel. The family would also like to thank Mary Ann Gurera for her friendship and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Promise in Brevard. 4105 Norfolk Parkway, West Melbourne, FL 32904 Promise In Brevard
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 30, 2026, at 1:00PM at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Chapel of Melbourne and will be live streamed here.
