Ron Hebert

Ron Hebert, 91 of Melbourne, Florida died peacefully on January 19, 2024, five days after celebrating his 91st birthday.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years, Joanne (Massa) Hebert. He leaves behind two daughters Donna Schafer (husband Jim Schafer) and Debby Cusson (husband Jerry Cusson); three surviving grandchildren Denise Stark, Susanne McPhilamy, and Jennifer Bradley, as well as his late granddaughter, Julie Cusson. Ron was also blessed with six great-grandchildren. Ron was born in Middleborough, Massachusetts on January 14, 1933 to the late Mary Cotti and the late Joseph Hebert. He is preceded in death by his two brothers Kendrick Hebert of Utah and Russell Hebert of Massachusetts.

Ron was in the US Navy during the Korean conflict and is retired from the United States Post Office as a mail carrier.

Ron and Joanne were married on April 4, 1954 and started their family in 1955. They built their first home in Lakeville, Massachusetts. After vacationing in Melbourne, Florida during the winter months in the 1980s, they realized that Melbourne would be their new home. Soon after, their children moved to Florida to be with them. Ron and Joanne loved to travel and go on cruises. He also loved playing tennis, dancing, making stained glass and gardening.
