Shirley Marie Moody, 72, of Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026.
Born on April 9, 1954, in Quitman, Georgia, Shirley lived a life centered on love, family, and compassion. She was known for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her warmth, strength, and generosity touched the lives of family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Troy Lee Moody, whom she now joins in Heaven. Their enduring love and devotion to one another served as an inspiration to all who knew them.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Kim (Kevin) Rodriguez and Linda (Tim) Anderson; her beloved brother, Steve (Cathie) Melton; her cherished grandchildren, Danielle (John) Broderick, Amber Ris, and Timothy Anderson; as well as several great-grandchildren who brought immeasurable joy to her life.
A small private family graveside service will be held at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, where Shirley will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Troy.

The family is deeply grateful for the exceptional compassion, comfort, and support provided by the VITAS Hospice team during Shirley’s final hours and throughout the last year of her life. Their kindness and dedication brought peace, dignity, and comfort to both Shirley and her family during a difficult journey.
Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is reunited with her husband and at peace.
