Susan McGuire Cooksey from Denton, TX wrote on July 21, 2024:
Eldon and Iris were newlyweds when they moved to Brighton, Colorado and became friends with my parents. I was very young, but Iris took care of me during the day while my parents were teaching music at Brighton High School. Their shared faith, love of music and family, and sense of humor made the two couples very good friends -- and that friendship lasted forever. My love and condolences to Iris and all the extended Moen family.
Ken Nicholson from Albuquerque New Mexico wrote on June 16, 2024:
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Eldon Moen while participating in the Youth Choir at the First Baptist Church of Melbourne when he was its Choir Director in the late 1960s. His humorous enthusiasm for the members under his tutelage to enjoy learning the correct presentation of music was exemplary. My mother, the late Eula Nicholson, spoke admirably many times about the favorable impression he made with her as one of his soloists in the Church’s Adult Choir
Margaret Broussard from West Melbourne wrote on June 15, 2024:
I'll always remember Eldon's kindness, which tempered his professionalism. It made those of us under his direction want to do our best to please him. It was a pleasure to be a part of his choir or congregation of listeners at Satellite Beach United Methodist Church.
