Francis Richard “Frank” Meyer passed away peacefully on December 20, 2024, in Melbourne Beach Florida, at the age of 80.

Born on December 17, 1944 to Richard and Philamena Meyer, Frank grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where he cultivated a strong work ethic and a deep sense of community. After serving time in the US Army, he dedicated his professional life to the New York City Parks and Recreation Department, where his efforts contributed significantly to the city’s cherished green spaces and public resources.

Frank had a zest for life that reflected in his passions. An avid cook, he delighted in experimenting with new recipes and sharing his culinary creations with those around him. He was deeply engaged in both local and national politics and was admired for his exceptional talent in fixing and building anything- a skill that brought joy and utility to many.

He is lovingly remembered by his children, Christine (Pete) Wuchte and Frankie (Alicia) Meyer; and his cherished grandchildren: Tyler, Ava, Declan and Owen Wuchte; as well as Zaryana, Isabella and Gabriella Meyer. Frank is preceded in death by his sister Rosemary Summers and his wife Winifred Brown Meyer.

A private memorial will be held with family and friends. Frank will be laid to rest at the Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale, New York on a yet to be determined date.
