MaryBeth Kormondy
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of MaryBeth Kormondy, who went to be with the Lord on February 18, 2025.
She was born on March 2, 1956 to Russell and Beatrice DeAngelus In Schenectady, NY. MaryBeth moved to Palm Bay, Florida in 1979 where she met her husband and soul mate, James W. Kormondy.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who touched the lives of many with her kind heart and unique sense of humor. While raising her children, MaryBeth was a proud member of the Jaycees where she donated her time and efforts to making the community a better place. She was also a talented crochet artist. Along with gifting countless crafts to family and friends, every winter she would knit scarves and blankets and send them to be distributed to the homeless Veterans back in her hometown.
MaryBeth is survived by her husband James Kormondy; daughters Lecia Escobar (husband Jonathan) and Nadine Smotherman; son Austin Kormondy; grandchildren Amelia, Tyson, Iley, Landon, and Jaxon; sister Patsy Joinnides; and brother Russell DeAngelus.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Beatrice.
Family and friends may come together on Saturday March 8, 2025 from 1pm until time of memorial at 2pm at Brownlie Maxwell Funeral Home, 1010 E. Palmetto Ave. Melbourne, FL.
