In Loving Memory of Dante Francesco Fiore

Dante Francesco Fiore, U.S. Air Force veteran, retired electronics technician in the defense industry, and lifelong golfer, passed away peacefully at home on March 15, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born in Danbury, Connecticut, dad was a middle child among six siblings – three older, two younger. As a young man, he worked as a caddy, fostering a passion for golf that remained with him throughout his life.

After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Dante pursued a career in electronics, applying his skills to the defense industry until his retirement. While stationed in Illinois at Scott Air Force Base, he met and married his beloved wife, Joanna Murphy. In 1966, they settled in Melbourne, Florida, where they raised their four cherished children.

Dante is survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Joanna; their children, Dante (wife Denise), Dawn (husband Steve), Kathleen (husband Fred), and Paul; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Fondly known as “Trouble” to his friends, Dante will be remembered for his love of golf, his generous heart, and his infectious sense of humor. He was the life of the party, bringing joy to every gathering with his laughter and dance moves. His wisdom, warmth, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Palm Bay, Florida, on Monday, April 21, 2025 at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US Highway 1, Mims, Florida, at 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society or a charity of choice in Dante’s memory.
