An anointed, joyous light has left our community. Shari Medlock peacefully moved to heaven on June 28, 2025, at the age of 87. Shari was born in Bamberg, South Carolina to her parents: Tessie Lee Hair (Carrol) and Corey Hair.

Shari received Christ as a young girl, loved serving in the ministry, and had a calling to be in service. She was known by many as a Bible teacher, a music teacher, and a vocal teacher. She shared her passion for the Gospel through Bible Hymns. A true prayer warrior and encourager, who enjoyed uplifting people to know the Lord.

In her professional vocation, she completed high school at seventeen and continued her education at the Baptist Bible Institute. She graduated from the Institute in 1959. This set the foundation for Sharia to open her business, “Shari’s School of Music, Speech/Vocal, Bible Studies”. Her successful teaching programs provided a pathway to continue her personal passion for ministry.

Upon completion of of Ministry Ordination in 1995, Sharia hosted a radio show, called “Temple Teachings”. The show aired for one hour a week. Accompanying the show, she taught Bible teachings several times a week. Her dedication and joy for the gospel, grew into a ministry. The ministry known as, “The Trumpet of Truth”. It thrived until her return home to heaven. The Trumpet of Truth aired on WMIE 91.5 radio, Facebook, Sound Cloud, and Truth Social; as well as in a House of Bethel for gathering as an assembly.

Her legacy is best known as a Pastor, a woman of grace, and a godly character. Her spirit was so vitally alive in Jesus. She is best known for her loving heart, full of the Lord’s kindness, faithfulness, and encouragement. Prayerful in every moment, Shari trusted Jesus in life! We may take comfort, as Christians, knowing she is with the Lord now and forevermore.

Shari is survived by her sister, Myrtle H. Creech, and her brother, Corey Hair, his wife, Brenda Hair, and her beautiful niece and nephew. She is also survived by her family in Christ and all the souls she saved by introducing them to Jesus.

God was so good to Brevard, Florida to give us such a gift in Shari Medlock. Thank you Father! God bless her forever, our forever faithful friend! Please join us for Shari’s Celebration of Life: Monday July 14, 2025 from 1:00pm – 3:00pm. The service begins at 2pm.
