Jacqueline Joy Smith was born on November 27, 1932 in Detroit, MI to Jacob H. and Sarah E. (Reitz) Smith. She was raised in Allentown, PA and graduated from Allentown High School in 1950. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and the American Business Women’s Association. She retired from Air Products and moved to Indialantic, FL in 1997. She was an active leader at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church and served on her condominium Board of Directors. Joy liked reading, travel, playing cards, singing, bowling, serving her church, and spending time with family and friends. Joy crossed over into her new life on October 6, 2025 in Palm Bay, FL.
Joy was preceded into new life by her parents, brothers Harold and Lloyd, Sister Darlene (Dolly), and nephew Bruce Smith
She is survived by her son Karl (Gwen) Tewold, grandchildren Jennifer Tewold, Mike (Michelle) Tewold, and great-grandsons Xander and Hendrix Tewold. Nieces and nephews include Judy Waggoner, Wendy (Gamil) Nakhla, Scott (Terry) Smith, Mark Smith, Jason Smith, Leslie (Bob) Francies, Eugene (Claire) Beller, Stacey (Tony) Cain, Bill Stamper, Jake (Paulette) Stamper, and many other family members and numerous friends.
She truly is Unforgettable!
