After graduating from high school, Don enlisted in the US Air Force. He soon was sent to Germany where he met the love of his life and wife of 66 years Marga. Upon his honorable discharge and return to the States, Don and Marga settled in Melbourne, Florida around 1962.
Don was an electrical engineer and began his career with RCA. Although RCA was bought out by different companies, Don had a 40 year career with them. He was instrumental in designing the radar system for “Fat Albert” the tethered aerostat radar system in Cudjoe Key, Florida.
His hobbies included traveling, fishing, snorkeling, playing tennis, and woodworking. He built many pieces of furniture for himself and family members. Don was a great neighbor – always willing to help others with anything they needed.

His family would like to thank his oncologist Dr. Kancharla and Vitas Hospice for their caring and compassion during his final days.
